WCBA EVENT: LGBTQ Anti-Discrimination Rights in Employment

The Washtenaw County Bar Association's LABOR & EMPLOYMENT and LGBTQ RIGHTS SECTIONS invite you to a special presentation.

TOPIC: In the wake of Obergefell, LGBTQ Anti-Discrimination Rights Focusing on Employment

SPEAKERS: Prof. Sam Bagenstos, UofM Law School, Jay Kaplan, ACLU and Beth Latchana, Fraser Law Firm

UM Law Professor Sam Bagenstos specializes in constitutional and civil rights litigation, and has argued three cases before the US Supreme Court, including the recent landmark pregnancy discrimination case of Young vs. UPS.

Jay Kaplan has been the staff attorney for the ACLU of Michigan’s LGBT Project since its founding in 2001, and has been a tireless advocate for LGBT and other civil rights issues.

Elizabeth H. Latchana is a shareholder attorney and Board member at Fraser Trebilcock specializing in employee health and welfare benefits and was recognized for her outstanding legal work by being selected as the 2015 "Lawyer of the Year" in Lansing for Employee Benefits (ERISA) Law by Best Lawyers.
